Overview
When an InfluenciMax automation runs, Instagram may reject a message, reply, image or attachment. The platform generally returns an error code and message that help identify the cause.
Some issues can be fixed by reviewing the account connection, permissions or automation. Others depend on Instagram rules or recipient settings. Use the codes below to identify the problem and the next step.

Before you start
Note the Instagram error code and subcode, and identify the affected automation or interaction.
Step by step
Error 100 / 2534025 — Private reply to comment not allowed
What it means
The comment is not eligible for a private reply. It may be older than seven days, deleted, already answered privately, or restricted by the recipient’s privacy settings. Instagram allows one private reply per comment.
What to do
Check the comment date and whether a private reply has already been sent. If only certain people are affected, their privacy settings may prevent delivery; InfluenciMax cannot override this restriction.
Error 368 / 1404169 — Account temporarily blocked
What it means
Instagram temporarily limited actions as an anti-spam measure, possibly after a high rate of messages or replies.
What to do
Pause automatic sends, check Account Status in Instagram, wait and resume gradually. The source suggests approximately 24–48 hours.
Error 190 — Instagram connection expired
What it means
The access authorization is no longer valid, for example after a password change, security check, revoked permission or invalidated session.
What to do
Sign in to Instagram, complete any security checks, reconnect the account to InfluenciMax and grant the requested permissions.
Error 508 / 2534122 — Problem sending a message containing a link
What it means
The error may say “Invalid message ID”. In this context, the reference associates it with a possible restriction on sending links in direct messages.
What to do
Check Account Status, temporarily remove links, test plain text and wait if the account has a temporary restriction.
Error 10 / 2534022 or 2018278 — Message outside the permitted window
What it means
Instagram limits when automated messages may be sent. The source describes a 24-hour window after the user’s last message and up to seven days for a private comment reply.
What to do
Check the last interaction, do not use automation to restart an expired conversation and configure flows around recent interactions.
Error 613 / 2534040 — Action limit reached
What it means
The account reached a temporary Instagram API rate limit, possibly during a spike in comments and simultaneous automation runs.
What to do
Wait, spread actions out, let peak activity subside and test again. Changing tools does not reset the account limit.
Error 1 and 2 — Service temporarily unavailable
What it means
A temporary Meta service issue may have occurred; it does not necessarily indicate a problem with the account or automation.
What to do
Wait and retry. The source mentions that retrying after approximately 30–60 seconds can resolve some cases.
Error 100 / 2534001 — Conversation no longer available
What it means
The recipient may have archived, deleted or not accepted the conversation, or it may no longer exist.
What to do
A new interaction is needed if the conversation was deleted. Check whether automations are trying to reply to old conversations.
Error 100 / 2534037 — Account does not own the conversation
What it means
The sending Instagram account is not the account that owns the conversation; this may occur with multiple accounts or linked Facebook Pages.
What to do
Confirm which professional Instagram account received the message, its InfluenciMax connection and any linked Facebook Page association.
Error 200 / 2534041 — Direct message access disabled
What it means
The Instagram account has disabled access to direct messages for connected applications.
What to do
In Instagram settings, open Messages and story replies, then Message controls; enable connected-app message access and test again.
Error 200 / 2534066 — Missing required permissions
What it means
The account is connected but one or more permissions needed to send messages or private replies were denied or removed.
What to do
Disconnect and reconnect Instagram to InfluenciMax, allow the required permissions and test the automation again.
Error 100 / 2018001 or 2534014 — User not found
What it means
Instagram cannot find or access the recipient, possibly because the account was deleted, deactivated or blocked the sender.
What to do
If only one person is affected, do not change the entire automation. Delivery is impossible while that account is unavailable.
Error 10 / 2018300 — Another application controls the conversation
What it means
Another connected messaging automation tool may currently control that conversation.
What to do
Review connected apps and other automation tools; remove an unused conflicting tool if needed.
Error 551 / 1545041 or 1893047 — Recipient unavailable
What it means
The recipient may have deactivated their account, been restricted or limited who can message them.
What to do
Do not change the entire automation if only one recipient is affected. Further attempts may fail while the account remains unavailable.
Error 10900 — Interaction already answered
What it means
A private reply has already been sent for this comment or interaction.
What to do
Do not send another private reply. Check whether the same automation runs more than once for the same activity.
Error 10903 / 1893049 or 1893062 — Cannot reply to this user
What it means
Instagram does not allow the recipient to receive this reply, possibly because of recipient restrictions or an activity that no longer accepts replies.
What to do
If this affects only one user, do not modify the entire automation; further attempts may be rejected.
Error 10904 / 1893050 — Facebook Page messages disabled
What it means
A linked Facebook Page has messaging disabled, preventing connected apps from using its messages.
What to do
Open the Facebook Page messaging settings, allow people to contact the Page and test again.
Error 100 / 2018047 — Image or attachment could not be sent
What it means
Instagram could not access or process the attachment because of an unavailable URL, excessive size, unsupported format or loading delay.
What to do
Check the file URL, size and format; try another image and ensure it is publicly accessible without login. The source recommends JPG/PNG under 8 MB.
Error 100 / 2534052 — Empty text
What it means
The automation tried to send a message without valid text.
What to do
Fill in the message text before publishing.
Error 100 / 2018034 — Empty message
What it means
The message has neither valid text nor an attachment.
What to do
Add valid text or an attachment.
Error 100 / 2534076 — Invalid URL
What it means
The URL in the message is invalid or incomplete.
What to do
Review the link and confirm it is complete and working.
Error 100 / 2534038 — Message too long
What it means
The message exceeds 1,000 characters according to the error text.
What to do
Shorten the message and try again.
Error 100 / 2018007 — Attachment delivery failed
What it means
Instagram could not process the file.
What to do
Try another file and check accessibility and compatibility.
Error 24 / 1545137 — Resource not found
What it means
The requested resource does not exist.
What to do
Review the content or resource referenced by the automation.
Error 10 — Application lacks permission
What it means
The application is not authorized to perform this action.
What to do
Review the account connection and granted permissions; reconnect Instagram to InfluenciMax if necessary.
How to identify the source of the problem
- If almost everyone is affected, check the connection, permissions and Instagram account restrictions.
- If only one automation is affected, inspect its messages, links, files and settings.
- If only one recipient is affected, check for recipient-specific restrictions.
- If several automations stop at once, consider temporary account limits or Instagram service instability.
- If only attachments fail, inspect the file and test a different one.

If something does not work
- Identify the error code and subcode.
- Find the corresponding code in this article.
- Check the associated message.
- Read the explanation to understand the likely cause.
- Follow the recommended action.
- Test the automation again after making the correction.
Some failures are caused by Instagram rules or recipient settings and cannot be resolved inside InfluenciMax.
Expected result
After identifying the error, you can determine whether to reconnect the account, grant permissions, revise a message or file, wait for a temporary restriction to end, or wait for a new user interaction.
